Openmind Traveler was created by the founders and some volunteers of openmind projects - an aid, development and volunteer organization supporting and providing free advice and training to many projects in Asia.

Our organization offers opportunities for overseas volunteers to contribute, in a meaningful way, to a better future of local underprivileged people and to a future too, of threatened plants and animal species. We arrange for committed volunteers to work on aid projects with local colleagues, helping the people and the environment of Thailand, Laos, Nepal and Cambodia.

With the same aim of supporting local communities, in villages in Isan, in the Northeast of Thailand, and Laos, we decided to develop some eco tours.
Those packages will allow local people to be involved, as community-based eco tourism villages, to learn more and to improve their incomes.
It will also help eco tourists who don’t have much time but still want a chance to go wild elephant trekking, meet local people and get a flavor of their culture on their terms.
And last but not least, it will help to protect the wildlife and the environment, and develop ecotourism.

Thanks to our knowledge of the region for more than 8 years, we have privileged contacts with local providers such as national parks, eco guides, restaurants, hotels and village home-stays, which is a real advantage for eco tourists who’d like to be integrated in the local culture.
